Staro selo is an open-air museum that shows the architecture and way of life of rural families in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It includes 50 different authentic buildings that preserve the spiritual heritage of the Serbian mountain village and have about 2,000 exhibits. The museum consists of two parts. The first is a set of houses that have preserved their original appearance and purpose, while the second group consists of houses that have preserved their original appearance, but with purpose adapted to tourist needs (apartments, souvenir shop, inn). The museum has been placed under protection as a cultural monument of exceptional importance. It is located 30 km from Zlatibor.
